G.C. Chandrashekhar hails from a small village known to be Ganguru situated in Hassan District , G.C. Chandrashekhar is a well known Educationist and Entrepreneur and a Member of Parliament representing the State of Karnataka serving in the Rajya Sabha or Council of States which is the Upper House of the Parliament of India, He entered into his first term as a Indian National Congress Party (INC) MP.
G.C. Chandrashekhar previously served as Chairman of Karnataka Urban Water Supply Board, former advisory member of Sarva shikshana abhiyaana, former Political Secretary to KPCC President and Spokesperson and has deep political knowledge in various fields in his political career .
